Paving the Way with Powerful Language: Power Bar’s New Clean Whey Protein Bar

It’s becoming more apparent that “clean label” is no longer just an industry term.

Power Bar’s newest additions, the Clean Whey Protein Bar and Clean Whey Protein Drink, are using the term “clean” right in the name. The bars are crafted with premium proteins and no artificial sweeteners, and 2g of sugar and 5g or less of net carbs. Consumers can “feel great about these indulgent tasting, power-packed bars,” according to the company’s website.

Ingredients include a “powerbar protein blend” (whey protein isolate, milk protein isolate), inulin, soluble corn fiber, glycerin, cashews, erythritol, coconut oil, water, whey protein concentrate; and less than 2% of alkalized cocoa, natural flavors, palm kernel oil, rice starch, sunflower lecithin, palm oil, salt, vanilla extract, nonfat dry milk, tapioca starch, calcium carbonate, steviol glycosides (stevia leaf extract).

They also have 40g protein in each bar, in addition to low carbs, cholesterol, sodium and fat.

Interestingly, the product’s promoted attributes dovetail with all three of Global Food Forums, Inc.’s events: Protein Trends & Technologies Seminars, Clean Label Conferences and the newest—Sweetener Systems Trends & Technologies Conference.
